This one is all about contrast.

 

Sure, contrast is integral to all my collections - but  the Ridge collection takes it to a new level. I get so many requests to set stones directly in the cobalt chrome, and that just isn't possible because cobalt chrome is way to hard to push over a stone (even a diamond) without breaking it!

But this doesn't stop me from trying - or at least trying to achieve the look I think my customers want. Filling a gold strip with diamonds so the metal is barely visible, and sinking said strip flush with the cobalt, brings me as close as I've ever been.

​

The result is a technical feat that is so distinctive that at first glance it looks like there are diamonds set in the black metal, and oh what an amazing contrast!
